Polyester Pigment

Polyester Pigment

Introduction

Polyester Pigments, also known as Polyester Resin Pigments or colorants, are additives specifically designed for colouring polyester resins. These pigments are used in various applications where polyester resin is employed, including composite materials, fiberglass reinforced plastics (FRP), castings, and surface coatings. Polyester Pigments come in different forms, including liquid, powder, and paste, and they play a crucial role in achieving the desired color and aesthetics in the final product.

Manufacturing Process

For a deep, consistent colour, Polyester Pigments are added to resins and gelcoats. Since Polyester Pigment is a non-reactive resin that can also function as a plasticiser, it is best not to add more than is necessary. In order to make the colour pastes extremely reactive and compatible with all polyester systems, polyester pigment is particularly developed. More than a hundred different colours of Polyester Pigment for polyester resins are offered in a range of pack sizes. Additionally, produced are maritime, corrosion-resistant, and specialised electrical grades. They come in a range of hues and have a high level of dispersion and grinding. Nearly every commercial grade of resin on the market today is compatible with Polyester Pigment. Polyester Pigment are produced by controlled and unique manufacturing processes resulting in outstanding properties which includes:
